Sex and The City – Part 2
I’m a little late in this post; however I did have the chance to see “Sex and The City”. It was everything that a “Sex and The City” fan had ever hoped! The wedding dresses! The shoes (especially the Christian Dior sandals Carrie donned on – I think I want those, too!)! And some crazy ensembles styled by Patricia Field! Some were really cute and some were okay.
The story begins three years later from where it left off. See movie preview here. Many things happen in the movie. The story goes through many ups and downs between the women. However, most importantly, we learn Mr. Big’s real and full name after six years of mystery: John James Preston. I know, right? I think I preferred him as Mr. Big… Anyways! I enjoyed the movie and, even though these women are in their 40s (with the exception of Samantha), I enjoyed the some of the slap-stick humor placed in certain scenes. I also enjoyed some scenes that referenced specific episodes.
The movie definitely did a good job at product placement-brand recognition. Of course we needed the usual dosage of brand recognition to make sure this movie was authentic and not a fakes like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Vera Wang, Dior, Dolce Gabbana, Chanel, and other walks of Premiere Designers. Extra brand recognition included Apple’s iPhone, Mercedes and its annual Mercedes-Benz sponsored Fashion week event, Bag Borrow or Steal, and other companies.
Overall, I was not disappointed!
Love,
C.G.M.

Gemmerzz – Yeah, I agree it’s like an Angelina Jolie. You either love her or you don’t.
I think everyone should watch it and make their own judgments – or – just wait for the DVD.
I do know one thing: I am buying the DVD when it comes out
I have to complete my Sex and The City collection, you know
